Unique in its hull design — the straight edge of the wave-piercing hull lets this interceptor go out in very rough seas, effectively cutting through the wave. Where standard hull interceptors cannot intercept or patrol in high sea states, the wave piercing has the ability to do so.

Patrol boats differ from interceptors in that they're used for extended periods at sea — weeks on end — with complete living quarters, kitchen and all amenities. This design carries a small fast interceptor inside it in a mother-daughter setup: if the target is too fast for the patrol boat, the mother ship launches the interceptor to give chase.
